My Experience
Maija brings a unique blend of therapy training and mind-body healing into her work. As a Native American therapist and certified yoga instructor, she offers a culturally aware and grounded approach that integrates emotional processing with somatic awareness, mindfulness, and practical coping tools.
She draws from evidence-based modalities including DBT skills, trauma-informed therapy, and person-centered care. Maija will also be trained in Brainspotting by March 2026.
Clients often describe her presence as calming, supportive, and deeply intentional.
What Clients Can Expect
Working with Maija feels supportive and grounded. Therapy sessions move at your pace, with space for processing, reflection, practical tools, and mindfulness or breathwork when helpful.
Her goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
If you’re nervous about starting therapy, you’re not alone. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Maija offers a gentle space where healing happens one step at a time, and your feedback always matters.
